John H. Collins Jr., 76, died Tuesday.
He was a native of Franklinton, N.C., and a retired engineer for Seaboard Coastline, Richmond Division.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma Latham Collins; two daughters, Jessica C. Moore of Wakefield and Sarah C. Kushner of San Rafael, Calif.; a sister, Clara C. Choplin of Raleigh, N.C.; three brothers, W. Frank Collins, Samuel H. Collins and Joe Collins, all of Franklinton, N.C.; and a grandson, Richard C. Moore III of Wakefield.
Funeral services are private. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements.
