As a longtime pro-life worker and advocate, I was sickened by the actions allegedly committed by John Salvi. The victims and their families are in my thoughts and prayers.
Pro-lifers abhor the killing of almost 4,400 unborn babies each day in this country, but we also abhor the killing of, or violence against, abortionists. Pro-lifers do not condone acts of violence but condemn them as being inconsistent with the pro-life movement.
We understand the frustration and anguish over 22 years of legal killing, but to hear God's name used as justification for violence is very disturbing.
Jesus would never have murdered to protect the innocent, but he would have laid down his life for them. Indeed he did lay down his life for the unborn.
He also laid down his life for abortionists. All the killing must stop.
