JOHNNIE S. NEEDHAM

Johnnie Sawyer Needham, 90, of the 400 block of Lands End Rd, Portsmouth, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 20, 1995.

He was born in Riddle, NC. He was the son of the late Willie F. Needham and the late Sallie Sawyer Needham, and the husband of the late Ella Needham. He retired from US Gypsum Co. He was an active member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church and attended the Ideal-Berean Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the T.A. Russell Bible Class.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Russell Berry of Portsmouth, a daughter, Eunice Armstrong of Va. Beach, and a son and daughter-in-law, Horace and Charlotte Needham of Portsmouth. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at Fairview Heights Baptist Church, 4704 Deep Creek Blvd, Portsmouth, VA at 3 p.m. (Monday) by Dr. Ted Barton. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel from 7-9 pm, SundayJanuary 22, 1995. Donations may be made to the youth program at Fairview Heights Baptist Church.
