Annie L. Savage Goodman Terry of the 1400 block of Cavalier Blvd., a retired elementary schoolteacher, died Friday, Jan. 20, 1995, in Maryview Nursing Center, Suffolk.
She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca Jones Savage. She retired from Norfolk Public Schools, having taught at Rosemont and Larchmont elementary schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street and was the widow of William Terry. She attended Norfolk Public Schools and upon graduation did her undergraduate studies at Virginia State College and Norfolk Sate College. She was a member of several professional organizations, among them the National Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include four sons, Frederick H. Goodman Jr. and Thomas S. Goodman, both of Norfolk, Harold A. Goodman of Portsmouth and William B. Terry of Wheaton, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three daughters-in-law, Marium Terry, Rita Goodman and Yvonne Goodman.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Bute Street by Dr. Robert G. Murray. The family will receive friends at Riddick Funeral Service from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. The procession will assemble at the church at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
