Arlie Dean Fairchild, 53, of the 900 block of George Washington Highway died Jan. 21, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mr. Fairchild was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a graduate of Norview High School, attended Sanford Prep School in Delaware and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Akers and Tammy Seltrecht; his mother, Pearl Kuckenbecker Fairchild of Philip, S.D.; three brothers, Roger Fairchild of Norfolk, John Fairchild of Virginia Beach and Don Fairchild of Waynesboro, Va.; and two grandchildren, David Russell and Danny Seltrecht.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in the town cemetery in Philip, S.D.
