William Sims Newbill, age 85, died Saturday, January 21, 1995 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Newport News and was a lifetime Peninsula resident, working as a self-employed contractor. He also was a member of the Lions Club and the NRA.
Mr. Newbill is survived by two sons, C. Warren Newbill of Portsmouth and William S. Newbill Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; one daughter, Peggy Newbill Swain of Inverness, Fla.; one sister, Gracie Mann of Newport News; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and his dear friend, Katherine.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 23, 1995, by the Rev. William P. Parker at Weymouth Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be sent to the Food Bank.
