Ethel P. Rawles, 74, of the 200 block of Cavalier Blvd., a retired custodian, died Jan. 19, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Rawles was born in Portsmouth. She retired from the Portsmouth city public school system after 15 years and was the widow of Richard Rawles.
Survivors include a son, Richard K. Rawles and two sisters, Ernestine J. Davis and Bessie Davis, all of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. Herman Williams. Burialwill be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon Monday. The family will be at the home of her sister, Ernestine J. Davis, 3657 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
