Former Old Dominion stars Kelli James, Pamela Neiss and Jill Reeve have been named to the 24-player 1995 Women's Senior National Field Hockey Team following a week of trials at Rutgers University.
The team began its training Friday at the Olympic Training site in San Diego. Sixteen of the 24 team members will be selected to represent the United States at the 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina in March.
James, currently an assistant field hockey coach at North Carolina, was a two-time first-team All-American at ODU. She also played on three national championship teams.

The Marlins start three freshmen, one sophomore and one senior. The Marlins' leading scorer is Percy Slight (Indian River), who is averaging 13.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. ``Our inside people have really come on,'' said Butterfield. ``I didn't know that Percy was going to be as good a scorer as he is.''
