NAME CHANGES
ABC Home Health Services Inc. has changed its name to First American Home Care. First American had operations in Hampton, Newport News and Suffolk. The privately held in-home-health-care service company based in Brunswick, Ga., opened an office last month in Chesapeake. Cathy D. Sweet, a registered nurse, is the administrator.

O.K. James Construction Inc. in Williamsburg received a $952,000 contract from the city of Chesapeake for alterations to the A.R.T. building for data processing at the Civil Center.
Marine Contracting Corp. in Virginia Beach received a $1.6 million contract from the city of Newport News for for a seafood industrial park wavescreen mooring facility..
Groome Transportation Inc. in Norfolk received a $505,834 contract from the Navy for shuttle bus service for the Sewells Point Area Naval Complex.
Wright Dredging Co. in Chesapeake received a $1.7 million contract from the Savannah base of the Army Corps of Engineers for dredging services at the King's Bay, Ga., Naval Base.
Cottrell Engineering Corp. in Chesapeake received an $822,000 contract from the Army Corps of Engineers in Baltimore for maintenance dredging in Somerset County, Md.
Virtexco Corp. in Norfolk received a $1.4 million contract from the city of Newport News for a Hardwood's Mill water treatment plant.
Hathaway-Duke Construction Co. received a $2.8 million contract (re-bid) from the city of Virginia Beach for Kings Grant and Thoroughgood elementary schools.
Tri State Utilities in Chesapeake received a $1 million contract from the city of Norfolk for upgrade to a sewer in Meadowbrook Terrace.
