Carl Frank Barbato died in his residence on Jan. 22, 1995. He was 88.
Mr. Barbato was born in Newark, N.J., and formerly resided in both Brookdale and East Hanover, N.J. He was the widower of the late Yole Amoroso Barbato. He was a loving family man who was truly dedicated and loyal to his family and friends in both his personal and professional life. A kind, caring, godly man, his presence and distinguished smile will always be remembered and missed. He was a member and 75 year deacon of Peddie Memorial Baptist Church in Newark, N.J. After graduating from Rutgers University, formerly New Jersey Law School, he practiced law in Hackensack, Newark, and then in Montclair, N.J., where he retired from his own practice at age 81. He was admitted to practice before the Surpeme Court of New Jersey and U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Because he was fluent in Italian, he was able to assist Italian immigrants. He was a student of the Bible and the Holy Land, which he visited many times and lectured on his trips. This is just a summary of the many contributions and accomplishments of which his family is proud.
