Una Dee Laubscher, 89 formerly of Edina, Mo., died Monday morning January 16, 1995, at her home in Loveland, Colo.
She was born February 28, 1905, in Edina, Mo., the daughter of Sanford and Eldora (Petree) Goodwin. On March 12, 1927, in Quincy, Ill., she married George Leo Laubscher who preceded her in death on March 15, 1977. Also preceding her in death were her parents and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Laubscher was raised in the Edina, Mo., area and attended the Edina public schools. She graduated from Northeast Missouri State University with a degree in teaching. She taught in the rural Knox County schools, the Baring Public School and Bardwell Elementary School, Aurora, Ill. In 1971 she moved to Loveland, Colo. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, Ill. and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter (NU)343 in Ruiledge, Mo.
She is survived by one son, Maurice L. Laubscher of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Emma Boston and husband, James, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and one grandson, Michael Craig Boston.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m. Friday, January 20, 1995, at the Davis-Playle Chapel with the Rev. Gary Ponder-Williams officiating. Burial was in the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, Mo.
