Joseph Harold Leonard, 65, a native of Norfolk and living in Durham, N.C., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 72 and was retired from the city of Norfolk.
Mr. Leonard, a beloved father, is survived by two daughters, Ms. Julia Caroline Leonard of Portsmouth, Va., and Mrs. Jennifer Catherine Davis of Slocomb, Ala.; and two sons, Mr. Joseph Harold Leonard Jr. of Cranford, N.J., and Mr. Charles Christopher Leonard of Hampton, Va. He was formerly married to Sarah Allen Leonard of Portsmouth, Va.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Chesapeake by the Rev. Ted Bailey. Burial will be at sea in Norfolk.
