Willie G. Barfield of the 800 block of W. 37th St., died Jan. 22, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Barfield was born in Snowhill, N.C., and was retired as a custodian from Food Lion. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, the Choir and the Male Usher Board.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Barfield; four daughters, Stella Fulton of St. Louis, Mo., Judith Johnson of Norfolk, Gloria Scott of Harrisburg, Pa., and Sarena Miller of Fairbanks, Alaska; a son, Donzell Johnson; his mother, Lucy B. Barfield of Norfolk; a sister, Mavis Russell of Norfolk; and two brothers, Robert E. Barfield and Chester L. Barfield, both of Norfolk; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Carmel Baptist Church by Dr. C.V. Russell Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be taken to church at 9:30 a.m. Friends may join the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
