Ruth Gaylord Tripp, 74, of the 2700 block of Conrad Ave., died Jan. 22, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Tripp was born in Plymouth, N.C. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and served on its Altar Guild and Episcopal Church Women.
She was the loving wife of Harold C. Tripp Sr. and loving mother of Connie Tripp Dillingham of Richmond and Harold C. Tripp Jr. of Chesapeake. She is also survived by a sister, Jackie G. Stecker of Temple Hills, Md.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 17 Bainbridge Ave., Portsmouth, by the Rev. John Jordan. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the residence. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, is handling arrangements.
