Emilie Owens Peabody died Jan. 22, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Peabody was born in Elizabeth City, N.C. She was a member of Old Donation Episcopal Church, Trustee of the church, co-founder of Old Donation Church Day School and member of E.C.W. Episcopal Church Women.
Survivors include her husband, Edward S. Peabody Jr.; a daughter, Victoria Owens Beasley of Virginia Beach; a son, E. Stiles Peabody III of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Marjorie Owens Warns of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a brother, Thomas S. Owens Jr. of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Old Donation Episcopal Church by the Rev. John H. Emmert. Burial will be at a later date. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Old Donation Episcopal Church Building Fund.
