Leon M. Smith, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995.
He was a lifelong Peninsula resident. Mr. Smith retired as owner and operator of Wythe Lanes in 1982 after 42 years of service. He was a member of Adath Jeshurun Synagogue.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Smith; two daughters, Anita Kinsley of Needham, Mass., and Deborah Cook of Richmond; a son, Mannie Smith of Norfolk; a sister, Pearl Caplon of Silver Spring, Md.; three brothers, Herman Smith of Hampton, Percy Smith of Newport News and Mayer Smith of Arlington, Va.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hebrew Cemetery, Hampton. Memorials may be made to Adath Jeshurun Synagogue or your favorite charity. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
