SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Breaking and entering, 5500 block Weatherby Way, Jan. 13, someone broke into a house by prying open the side garage door. Removed were a cordless phone valued at $40; a microwave oven, $100; stereo rack system, $200; speaker phone, $50; radio alarm clock, $35; cameras, $125 and $150; kerosene heater; answering machine, $100.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, 4400 block Cove Street, Jan. 16, someone advised that a person was allowed to use a vehicle and return it on Jan. 14, but the vehicle was not returned.

Grand larceny, 6100 block Compton Court, Jan. 18, someone broke into a vacant residence by pushing open the rear kitchen door. A range was taken.

Breaking and entering (house), 4200 Dale Acres Drive, Jan. 18, someone went to check on a resident and discovered that person lying on the living room floor. When garage was checked, a man with a dark complexion ran from the scene.

DISTRICT B

Missing person, 2000 block Nansemond Parkway, Jan. 18, Michelle Yolanda Jones, a black female, about 19 years old, 120 pounds, 5-feet-6-inches tall, with black hair, brown eyes and dark skin, left Suffolk to report to a Navy Reserve assignment in Columbia, S.C. on Jan. 17 and did not arrive. She was driving a 2-door, white, 93 Ford Escort.

DISTRICT C

Grand larceny, 400 block Smith Street, Jan. 13, an 86 CH80, red Honda scooter was removed from residence.

Grand larceny, 800 block Dumville Avenue, Jan. 14, someone entered vehicle through driver front window and removed a Motorola flip cellular phone valued at $100.

Grand larceny, 800 block Dumville Avenue, Jan. 15, someone entered a vehicle through the vent window and removed one Motorola flip cellular phone valued at $350 and a pair of sunglasses valued at $25.

Breaking and entering (house), 200 Pine Street, Jan. 16, someone entered a house through the side front door. Nothing was removed.

DISTRICT D

Grand larceny, 200 Magnolia Street, Jan. 13, someone removed approximately $3900worth of equipment from an 86 Nissan Pulsar including a Panosonic CD Player/Receiver, one speaker box and two tweeters.

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block Hall Avenue, Jan. 13, someone gained entry to business by prying locks off front security gates and removed a Zenith television. A video game machine was also pried open and money was removed from the game.

Petit larceny, 200 block Raleigh Avenue, Jan. 13, someone removed a Virginia inspection sticker from a car.

Breaking and entering (house), 600 block Factory Street, someone broke open a front door window and reached inside to unlock the door. A Quasar 13'' color remote control television and a man's gold watch was removed.

Petit larceny, 100 block Tynes Street, Jan. 16, someone removed a Virginia license plate and city of Suffolk decal from a car.

Armed robbery, 700 block East Washington Street, Jan. 17, someone displayed a .22- or .25-caliber automatic and said, ``Come on, out of your leather,'' and, ``If you have a T-shirt on, come out of your sweater.'' The person shot one round in the air and left the scene in a '90-'93 light green Hyundai.

Threat to burn, 1100 block Nansemond Parkway, Jan. 17, someone reports that a person threatened to egg the house and set car on fire.

Breaking and entering (business), 1000 block Wilroy Road, Jan. 18, someone pried lock off shop door and entered business but nothing was taken.

DISTRICT E

Attempted breaking and entering (business), 3300 block Deer Path Road, Jan. 18, someone attempted to pry open a deadbolt lock to rear door but was unable to enter business.

DISTRICT F

Petit larceny, 100 block Gene Avenue, Jan. 17, someone entered vehicle through a rear window and removed a Motorola cellular phone. ILLUSTRATION: Graphic

CRIME LINE

Suffolk Detective S.R. Burch asks your help to solve a

check-cashing spree involving several areas.

The suspect has at least two fraudulent identification cards - a

DMV ID card and a military-type ID card in the name of Yolanda J.

Bradford. The suspect wrote checks for large amounts at Lowe's and

other locations. She is also wanted for questioning involving checks

in Virginia Beach, Hampton, Chesapeake and area military bases.

The suspect, a black female with a manly look, is about 6 feet

tall. If you have seen her or know her whereabouts, call Suffolk

Crime Line: 539-1222. If information you provide leads to an arrest,

you may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000. When calling Crime

Line, you do not have to give your name or testify in court.
