HUMAN KINDNESS EASES BURDEN FOR BOY, FAMILY

I write on behalf of the family of Jason Holt. As many of you may remember, 4-year-old Jason, the son of Scott and Melinda Holt of Wakefield, was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma in August 1994.

During the last five months, he has been through many hours of surgery, chemo and various testing, but we are proud to announce as of Jan. 11, 1995, Jason is in remission!

At this time we would like to give sincere thanks to the many residents from around the area who gave of themselves not only in time but money, various items and prayer that have helped to bring our family through a most trying time.

I have always been told that you don't know what human kindness is until your time of need, and when we needed the help not only did people we know and love come to our aid, but people who we have never met before were there with prayers, cards and letters, and most of all, fund-raisers to help offset the doctor and hospital bills.

``Thanks'' seems such a small word to express our feelings. I really don't know if there is a word and/or way to show our true thanks to the many friends. I say friends now because I really don't know if I will ever meet a stranger again.

God bless you one and all.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Holt
