LARRY K. BROWN

Larry K. Brown, 59, of the 1400 block of Plantation Lakes Circle, a retired lieutenant colonel, died Jan. 24, 1995, in Portsmouth.

Lt. Col. Brown was born in Quantico, Va. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 26 years, was an avid local golfer and a longtime resident of Tidewater.

Survivors include his wife, Donna A. Brown; two daughters, Geraldine M. Stanley of Centerville, Va., and Melanie A. Riddle of Greensboro, N.C.; two sons, Lt. Col. Larry K. Brown Jr., USMC, stationed in Incasteau, Belgium, and Alan J. Brown of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by LCDR Frank Holly, Chaplain Corps, U.S. Navy. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Quantico National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to Lee's Friends, 618 Stockley Gardens, Norfolk, Va.
