Mary Lee Dickens-Hurdle of the 3600 block of Silina Drive, died Jan. 23, 1995.
She was born in Norfolk and was a member of Garrett Community Church, Norfolk, the Deaconess Board, (NU)1 Usher Board and United Order of Tents Lane Jewels (NU)515.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie L. Hurdle; two daughters, Ernestine Spruill of Virginia Beach and Denise Hurdle of Chesapeake; a son, Linwood Spruill of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; an aunt, Emily Bonds of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Garrett Community Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Johnnie L. Reid. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. A viewing will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. The body will be in church at noon Saturday. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
