The Virginia Port Authority said an alliance of ship lines has agreed to bring a new Southeast Asia service to the port of Hampton Roads. The deal is expected to increase volume through the port by 20,000 containers a year. The ship lines in the alliance include Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nedlloyd Lines, Orient Overseas Container Lines and American President Lines. The alliance will call at Portsmouth Marine Terminal starting in April as part of its service between the U.S. East Coast and Southeast Asia. by CNB
