Harry Newbill Doyle Sr., 87, of Village Drive, died Jan. 26, 1995, in Fairmont General Hospital.
Mr. Doyle was born in Vicksburg, Miss., and was the son of the late Thomas James Doyle and Ethel Newbill Doyle. He retired as a machinist from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Va., in 1970 after 26 1/2 years, and previously worked part time as a barber for Lawrence's Barber Shop for 21 years. He was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Mable DuVal Doyle; three sons, Harry N. Doyle Jr. of Fairfax, Va., James D. Doyle of Barrackville, W.Va., and Ronald W. Doyle of Mount Sidney, Va.; a sister, Doris D. Whitehurst of Larchmont, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas J. Doyle and two sisters, Mildred D. Smith and Margie D. Streif.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ford Funeral Home, Fairmont, W.Va., by the Rev. Thomas L. Santrock. Burial will be in Barrackville Baptist Cemetery, Barrackville, W.Va. Calling hours are 3 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabeth River Baptist Church, 601 Sparrow Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
