Gertrude Simmons, of the 2000 block of E. 25th St., died Jan. 16, 1995, in Yuma Nursing Center.
She was born in Florence, S.C., and was the widow of Sammy Simmons.
Survivors include two sisters, Delores Hill of Norfolk and Marie Savolone; two brothers, Clarence Collins and Ernest Collins, both of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Enoch Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael G. Daniels. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 4 p.m. today. The family will assemble at 7000 Auburn Ave., at 11 a.m. for the processional. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
