John Blair Hickman Sr., 69, a retired tariff supervisor, died Jan. 25, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Hickman was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Bell System after 35 years. He was a member and elder of Bayside Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of the College of William and Mary.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Brent Hickman; a daughter, Holly Hickman Manfredi and son-in-law, Dr. Lon P. Manfredi of Glastonbury, Conn.; a son and daughter-in-law, John B. Hickman Jr. and Narcisa O. Hickman of Darnestown, Md.; a sister, Calista Johnston of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Hunter Hickman of Norfolk and Carlton Hickman of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Meredith Hickman of Darnestown, Md.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bayside Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Richard Keever. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be sent to Bayside Presbyterian Church Vision III Building Fund.
