Mary Stephenson Jester Lewis, 89, of East Pavilion, died Jan. 25, 1995.
She was born in Southampton County, reared in Suffolk, and spent most of her adult life in Newport News. She was the widow of Pennie C. Lewis. She was a member of Noland Memorial United Methodist Church of Newport News.
Mr. Lewis, a graduate of State Teachers College, taught school in Isle of Wight County and the City of Suffolk.
Survivors include two sons, C. Franklin Jester Jr., of Franklin and Rev. William A. Jester of Luray, Va.; three grandsons, Franklin L. Jester, William H. Jester and W. Albert Jester Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Allen Wentz Jr. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggest memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
