Paul Dean Alsup, 56, of the 700 block of N. 21st St., died Jan. 26, 1995, in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital.
He was born in Lee County and was a resident of Hopewell for the past 32 years. He was a Lab Technician at Allied-Signal Corp., a member of the Colonial Hunt Club and the American Legion Post (NU)146. He was the son of the late Ray and Rettie Hurd Alsup.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma L. Alsup; two sons, Randy G. Griffin and Brian Griffin, both of Chester; two sisters, Dorothy Ann Alsup and Linda Young, both of Pennington Gap; a brother, Boyd Alsup of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, Shane, Paul, and Jessica.
The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell Chapel. Following the service, the family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Alsup will be transferred to Sturgill Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, for visitation on Saturday and funeral services on Sunday. Interment will be in Lee Memorial Park, Woodway, Va.
