Irene C. Stewart, 69, of the 1000 block of Sharon Drive, died Jan. 23, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Gates County, N.C., and was the widow of Roscoe ``West'' Stewart. She was a former member of Victory Baptist Church and a member of Moose Lodge (NU)464, Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Stewart and a son, Jerry W. Stewart, both of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three sisters, Faye Chappell and Joan Pearson, both of Chesapeake, and Diane Atkinson of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Leon Pierce of Smithfield and James Pierce of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren, Angela Stewart and Julia Stewart, both of Elizabeth City.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Arthur Wilt. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
