Dr. Howard Fleming Newman, a retired Presbyterian minister, died Dec. 28, 1994, at his home in San Francisco, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Newman; a brother, Maurice Newman of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Elizabeth Atkinson of Newport News and Helen Smith of Hopewell; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in this area.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. Mark Burns.
