Eleven people were displaced when a fire, apparently caused by careless smoking, damaged their home early Thursday.
Nine adults and two children lived at the residence in the 1400 block of West 37th St. One person who lived there was not home during the fire.
A firefighter was injured when a beam fell on him, officials reported.
Fire officials believe the blaze started in an upstairs bedroom of the 2 1/2-story frame house. by CNB
