A gun owned by a Deep Creek Intermediate School teacher was found Wednesday in her car parked at the school, a school-system spokesman reported Thursday.
Tom Cupitt said the school received an anonymous tip that the teacher, who was not identified, had a gun in her car. He said the teacher readily admitted having the registered weapon on the school premises, Cupitt said.
No charges were filed immediately, he said. Officials are investigating whether the teacher violated any laws or school rules by having the weapon on school property. by CNB
