McIver ``Bossy'' Byrum, 80, of Route 1, died Friday morning, Jan. 27, 1995, in Brian Center Nursing Care, Hertford.
Mr. Byrum was born in Chowan County. The son of the late George and Annie Doris Outland Byrum, he was a retired farmer and attended Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Roberson of Tyner and Clara Mae Evans of Edenton, N.C.; three brothers, Velva Byrum of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Leon Byrum and Eugene E. Byrum, both of Tyner; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Henry Pillow. Burial will follow in the Byrum Family Cemetery, at the home, with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville in charge of arrangements. Friends may join the family at the home of his brother, Eugene Byrum, Route 1, Box 471, Tyner.
