Public hearings
Regarding the proposed Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act transportation enhancement application to seek funds to begin an Elizabeth River Trail in Norfolk. A 3,500-foot segment of unused railroad right-of-way in southwest Norfolk lies at the core of a proposal to begin an Elizabeth River Trail. The trail is planned as a bicycle-pedestrian path. Adopted.
Regarding the application of Allied Systems Ltd. by John Deal, attorney, for the closing, vacating and discontinuing of that portion of Princeton Avenue from the western line of Beachland Street northwesterly to the western line of Decker Street. Approved.

Letter from the city manager and a resolution to approve the exercise by Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority of powers conferred by the Virginia Housing Authorities law, in conjunction with financing to develop a campus for Tidewater Community College on properties located in the Downtown West Conservation Project, VA A-1-7. Adopted.
Letter from the city manager and a resolution to authorize execution of an inducement agreement between the city of Norfolk and the state Board for Community Colleges. Adopted.
