EMPLOYMENT RISES IN HAMPTON ROADS

The number of nonfarm jobs in the region increased 2.7 percent, or 16,700, to 629,300 in November 1994, the Virginia Employment Commission said. Meanwhile, nonagricultural employment in Virginia reached an all-time high in November of 3.07 million. November was the third consecutive month of record nonfarm employment. Hampton Roads witnessed its best annual job growth rate for 1994 in November because of strong showings in the services and trade sectors. (Staff) by CNB
