Myrtie Leigh Williams Rountree, 68, of Route 1, died Saturday morning, January 28, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Rountree was born in Gates County. The daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Mrs. Ethel Eure Williams, she was a homemaker and member of Cool Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Waverly S. Rountree; two daughters, Cleo R. Craddock and Diane R. Hendrix, both of Eure; two sons, Leon Rountree and Ray Rountree, both of Eure; one half sister, Emily Harrell Askew of Harrellsville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Horace Culpepper and Gilbert Crawford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
