MABEL TOUCHTON TAYLOR

Mabel Touchton Taylor, 93, of Virginia Beach, died January 27, 1995, in her residence.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Bramford, Florida. She was the widow of Joseph T. Taylor. She was a member of Plaza Baptist Church in Virginia Beach where she was the oldest member by age. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Al Kena Temple (NU)124, a Past Noble Grand of Rebekah, Providence Chapter (NU)54, a past member of the Amaranth, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Westminster Chapter (NU)99.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Betty Spiegel and Dorothy Sorey, both of Virginia Beach and Forrestine Henderlite of Norfolk; a son, Forrest A. Benson of Virginia Beach; a brother, John T. Touchton of Seminole, Fla.; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel by Rev. Melvin Hughes. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

There will be a visitation Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the At Home Care Hospice, 3386 Holland Road Suite 202 Virginia Beach, VA 23452. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel will be handling the arrangements.
