Myra M. Tippett, 94 years, a retired supervisor, died Jan. 28, 1995, in Thornton Hall.
Mrs. Tippett was born in South Mills, N.C. She retired from the Navy Public Works Center in 1965 and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie M. Pearce of Norfolk; three sisters; one brother; four grandchildren, John T. Pearce and Myra P. Sweet, both of Virginia Beach, William J. Pearce of Warrenton, Va., and Neal J. Pearce of Fredericksburg, Va; two great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Jackson Danvers Tippett and parents, Jenette Colbert and Patrick Henry Nichols.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 3 to 4 p.m. today.
