HYDOUS J. AUSTIN

Hydous Jones Austin, 70, of Hatteras, NC, died Saturday, January 28, 1995, in an Elizabeth City hospital. Mr. Austin was a native of Hatteras and attended the Assembly of God Church. He was retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Army. He was the son of the late Russell J. Austin and Mrs. Annie O'Neal Austin and the husband of Yvonne Stowe Austin of the home.

Besides his wife, Mr. Austin is survived by 2 daughters: Eula Outland and Gloria Swain, both of Buxton; 3 brothers: Bruce Austin and Albert Austin, both of Hatteras, and Hilton Austin of Florida; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A church service will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 1995, at 11:00 AM in the Frisco Assembly of God Church by the Revs. Don Brown, H.J. Willis and Roger Barnette. Burial will follow in the family cemetery in Frisco. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dare Emergency Medical Service and they will receive friends at the Twiford Island Chapel, Hatteras, on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Twiford's Funeral Home, Hatteras, is in charge of arrangements.
