MORRIS R. DOUGHTY

Captain Morris R. ``Dutch'' Doughty, USN, Ret., 80, of the 7300 block of Elvin Ct., died January 27, 1995, in a local hospital.

Captain Doughty was a native of Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was the widower of Charlotte Katherman ``Peggy'' Doughty. During his military career of 27 years, Captain Doughty served as a combat aviator and was awarded the Navy's highest award for heroism, the Navy Cross and the distinguished Flying Cross. Following his retirement from the Military, Captain Doughty was employed by the Virginia Employment Commission and retired again in 1982. He was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Sally Doughty Clay of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Jane D. McKeown of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

A chapel service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 1995, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel by Rev. Francis Collins. Burial with military honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Norfolk Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave. and to Norfolk S.P.C.A.

H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk will be handling the arrangements.
