Mary Shaw Bean, 80, of the 900 block of Enterprise Way, died Jan. 28, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
She was a native of Raleigh, N.C. and was a member of Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Joshua S. Bean Jr.; one daughter, Dr. Mary Bean of Carrolton, Tex.; three sisters, Jean Blankenship of Colonial Heights, Va., Anne Turner of Portsmouth, and Margaret McGinn of Norfolk; and one brother, Hubert L. Shaw of Charlotte, N.C.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Terry Beck. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Lee's Friends or the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
