ILLUSTRATION: Due to a technical error, several lines were dropped from a

story about O.J. Simpson on the cover of the Commentary section in

some editions of today's paper. Here's the missing text:

That said, the AP poll found 14 percent of us sure that Simpson

is guilty, 4 percent sure he's not and the rest wavering, with three

times as many people leaning toward a guilty verdict as toward

acquittal.

But because only the opinion of 100 percent of the 12 people on

the jury will matter, when all is said and done, it's a safe bet

that there will be more said than done.

The smart money says O.J. wasn't anywhere near the grassy knoll.
