MARTHA D. LONG

Martha ``Mary'' Dorsey Long, 80, of the 7900 block of Merritt St., a housewife, died Jan. 27, 1995, in the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth.

Mrs. Long was born in Manhattan, N.Y. She was Catholic by faith. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Unit 60 for 20 years, Parish Council, Our Lady of Victory and Ben Moreel Chapel, past president Ladies Auxiliary Warner Robins Ga. Unit 184. She and her husband, Cecil Ray Long, were married in Portsmouth on Sept. 26, 1936, celebrating 58 years of marriage.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Marion Walsh of Queens, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Victory Chapel by Father John Kaul. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Arlington National Cemetery. Altmeyer Funeral Home in charge. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service in Our Lady of Victory Chapel.
