Evelyn Marie Petersen, 79, of the 800 block of Washington Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 1995, in a Roanoke hospital.
Mrs. Petersen was born in Floyd County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lillie Mae Hall. Mrs. Petersen was employed as a waitress for many years at the Great Bridge Restaurant.
Survivors include her two sons, Joseph G. ``Babe'' Hamric of Chesapeake and William H. Hamric of Titusville, Fla. She was predeceased in death by her two other sons, David L. Hall and James Raymond ``Doc'' Hamric Jr.; she is survived by one sister, Genevieve Higgs of Salem, Va.; two brothers, Charles Hall and Pete Hall, both of Floyd County, Va.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. W. Roberts Mc-Ivor. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
