Edward R. Edwards Sr., 64, of the 8200 block of Carrene Drive, died Jan. 29, 1995 in DePaul Hospital.
Mr. Edwards was born in Milwaukee, Wis. and was Catholic by faith. He was a retired school custodian from the Norfolk Public School System since 1991. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and a retired Navy veteran.
Survivors include wife Edna O. Edwards; two daughters, Shirley F. Davis of Norfolk and Gloria W. Garrett of Richmond; two sons, Edward R. Edwards Jr. and David Worrell, both of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel today from 7 to 8 p.m.
