Grady Leo Vick, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Vick was a native of Roxobel, N.C. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Josie Vick and a son, Dannie C. Vick. He was a retired barber from Vick's Barber Shop, Benton Ave., Highland Park after 41 years. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church and was an Army veteran.
Sruvivors include his wife, Gweneth C. Vick; a daughter, Deloris Townsend of El Paso, Texas; a son, Gary L. Vick of Mikado, Mich.; a stepson, Patrick M. Horan of Portsmouth; two sisters, Grace Ward of Rich Square, N.C., and Florence Ronco of Portsmouth; a brother, Woody Vick of Roxobel, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Biltmore Baptist Church by the Rev. T.M. Frye and the Rev. Dennis Chappell. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, on Monday from 8 to 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Biltmore Baptist Church, 3214 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth, Va. 23702.
