KILLING IS KILLING

I read with great annoyance the letter ``What Jesus would say'' (Jan. 17) about the taking of a life against abortion. I also agree that further murders are not the answer, but neither is incorrectly paraphrasing Bible verses to validate one's view.

In today's society God's law ``Thou shalt not kill'' (Exodus 20:13), which needs no further explanation, is ignored for ``Keep abortion safe and legal.'' It has been deemed by society that legalized murder is viewed as a personal choice without any consequences, and cold-blooded murder is an act of lawlessness with grave consequences.

What is the difference between abortion and murder? Is it that abortion is a legal violent act and murder is an illegal violent act? The difference between the two laws is the decision to follow God or government.

My question: ``What color was the blood of Jesus, aborted babies and abortion-clinic murder victims?''
