JAMES LLOYD DAVIS

Mr. James Lloyd Davis, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 1995, at Duke Medical Center.

Mr. Davis was born in Fitzgerald, Ga., the son of the late Mr. Raymond Roy Davis and Mrs. Zelma Tribby Davis. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Welder Supervisor. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol as a major, was a member of Portsmouth, Va., Anglers Club and was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Tinsley Davis of the home; a son, James L. Davis Jr. of Mebane, N.C.; a daughter, Betty Jo Schaugaard, of Evergreen, Colo.; a brother, Ret. Gen. Raymond Davis of Stockbridge, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Pope Dickson and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Morrow, Ga. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Forest Park, Ga. The family will receive friends at Pope Dickson and Son Funeral Home in Morrow, Ga., from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. McClure Funeral Home, Mebane, is in charge of arrangements.
