Miriam B. Briggs, 90 years of age, wife of the late Gaither C. Briggs, died at DePaul Hospital on Jan. 29, 1995, after a long illness.
Mrs. Briggs was a native of Concord, N.C., but spent most of her life in Norfolk.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne B. and John P. Brown of Smithfield, Va.; two grandchildren, Kimberly B. Anderson of Smithfield and John P. Brown III of Fairfax, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Jonathan Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Jay Ashby. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
