Nellie Marie Spivey, 81, of the 800 block of Baydon Lane, a homemaker, died Jan. 29, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Spivey was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Leo C. Lambert. She was a member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Christina C. Spivey of Chesapeake, and three sons, Robert O. Spivey of Virginia Beach, James E. Spivey of Norfolk and Richard Lee Spivey of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Obie W. Bryant of Virginia Beach, and was the daughter of the late James Linwood and Lillian Turner Bryant.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Willowwood Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Frank E. Drake. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at the home of James Spivey, 1806 While Lane, Norfolk.
