Barry F. Brothers, 55, a retired fire captain, died Jan. 29, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Brothers was born in Norfolk and was a Baptist. He was retired from the Naval Air Station on Aug. 11, 1994. He was an Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. and Annie Swink Brothers.
Survivors include four sisters, Anne Martin, Helen Adams, both of Chesapeake, Lydia Bookman, Mary Mosley, both of Virginia Beach; six brothers, Paul L. Brothers Jr., Bobby Brothers, both of Chesapeake, twin brother, Harry L. Brothers of Virginia Beach, Larry T. Brothers of Poplar Branch, N.C., Carl W. Brothers of Richmond, Va. and Kenneth W. Brothers of Moyock, N.C.; a niece, Annie Jo Adams of Chesapeake; three nephews, Samuel S. Adams and Chris Brothers, both of Chesapeake, and Daniel R. Adams of Virginia Beach; and many other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Danny L. Morris. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
