Riddick Walter Scott of the 900 block of London Blvd., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Scott was a native of Gates County, N.C., and a retired plumber. He was a member of Diamond Grove Baptist Church, Franklin.
Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Artis, Gladys Artis, both of Franklin, Gracie Banks of Portsmouth and Ella Davis of Newport News; a son, Paul Freeman of Chesapeake; three sisters, Pearl Hatter of New York City, Dessie Wiggins of Murfreesboro, N.C., Celtine Manley of Portsmouth; a brother, John Scott of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. William Saunders. Burial will be in the Scott Family Cemetery in Franklin.
